Landscape Design > Stokes Meadow

This is a front lawn reduction project in Chittenden County, Vermont. The goal is to shape the property over time, creating a series of landscape rooms and pathways that offer a sense of place and increased human and ecological functionality in what was nearly ½ acre of open lawn. Natural shrubland edge and open meadow habitats served as design guides. The gardens are managed for ecological processes and 4 seasons of interest.
